Hickory Lightning Bolts - Hickory wood for Aging and Smoking (4oz)

These Hickory Lightning Bolts are ready to be toasted or charred to your desired toast level. This is a hardwood with light color. The Hickory Lightning Bolts will fit in the neck of  a bottle, barrel, or jar.

Hickory wood will add a nice color and flavor  Hickory wood is very hard, stiff, dense and shock resistant. There are woods that are stronger than hickory and woods that are harder, but the combination of strength, toughness, hardness, and stiffness found in hickory wood is not found in any other commercial wood. Due to its grain structure, hickory is more susceptible to moisture absorption than other species of wood, and is therefore more prone to shrinkage, warping or swelling with changes in humidity. These pieces are ideal for making your own whiskey in a rapid time frame

• Hickory Lightning Bolts will vary in size randing from 1.5" to 8" in length. 
• The total weight will be 4 oz of wood pieces (7 Lightning Bolts)
  
• More surface area than a straight sticks and a nice fray effect from the cut gives it a realistic lightning bolt look.
